Underneath is a heavy-duty robotically welded frame with a front Quik-Tatch weight bracket designed to hold 168-lbs. of weight by attaching 4 suitcase weights for use of a wide variety of equipment. Instead of using a steel axle in the front that is susceptible to bend or deform there is a strong nodular cast iron axle that can handle any kind of abuse you throw at it.

To make your job easier this model has cruise control, power steering, and an automatic two-pedal transmission for effortless speed control and turning. To control your equipment there is a two-function hydraulic system and a foot-operated differential lock to power the rear wheels for extra traction. The mower deck can range from 48-in. all way up to 62-in. depending on the specific model you purchase. The deck height can range from 1-in. to 5 ¼-in. using the height-of-cut control that will also independently raise or lower your 3-point hitch equipment.

The front has 2 automotive type headlights with 37 watt halogen bulbs and in the rear there are taillights and back-up lights to easily illuminate any nighttime situation you might run into. The one-piece hood can be removed without using a single tool for easy access. The operator will also benefit from the standard toolbox and cup holder along with a 12 volt outlet that can power your phone, radio, or optional equipment. The X500 bumps the power up to 25-hp. in its V-twin air cooled engine that provides more power for larger jobs and attachments. It comes with a automatic transmission with two pedals to easily control speed and direction.

This mower comes with a 48-in. deck (optional 54-in. deck available) and has a 22-in. turning radius to make those tight curves. The front axle has been bulked up to accommodate heavier loads by using nodular cast iron and ¾-in. spindles. It has built in rear weight brackets for use with the heavy duty cargo mount attaching points for easy use with optional equipment and attachments.

For the operators comfort this mower has a cup holder for your favorite drinks, a dash mounted fuel gauge, and a hourometer to track all your maintenance. To top it all off the seat has 7-in. of suspension to make your ride smoother. This mower is a great choice for a mid-level riding mower that can accommodate optional attachments.

It features a heavy duty welded steel frame to stand up to even the heaviest of loads. There is also a Reverse Implementation Operation (RIO) that enables the user to mow while going in reverse if necessary. The new 2011 D100 Series is the economical baseline model offered for homeowners who are looking mainly for just a mower. Don’t be discouraged though, the D100 does have the Cargo Mount System for easy use with attachments if you do have the need for them.

While only having a 17.5-hp. engine it will power you to a top speed of 5 mph. It has a 5 speed in-line shift pattern for easy transitions to different speeds to accommodate all jobs. This mower has a 12 gauge steel one piece frame for added strength and durability to last a lifetime. Up front there is a cast-iron front axle while the rear is equipped with a Dana 4360 trans-axle with enclosed differential to withstand anything you throw at it. The hood is made of a UV resistant JD Loy Polymer that will not rust and has 2 headlights for any nighttime operation.

The mower has Reverse Implement Option (RIO) that enables you to continue cutting grass while going in reverse. Underneath there is a 42-in. deck that you can add an optional mulch cover or plug onto. It has a ¼-in. spring assisted adjustable lever for selecting the height of the blades. For operator comfort the seat is adjustable to 10 different positions and has 5-1/2in. of travel and also has a cup holder and floor mats.
